Lenny is the Managing Director of Fit For Work. He is an Occupational Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Health Science (Endorsed in Occupational Health). Lenny has 15 years’ experience specialising in Occupational Health and Rehabilitation and has industry-specific expertise in a wide variety of manufacturing, transport, farming, warehousing and all trade-related industries. His personal major focus is on providing services in pre-employment capacity testing, functional capacity testing, environmental audits (ergonomic) and recommendations, company-specific manual handling and general prevention education (strains and sprains).
Lenny set up and developed WorkRehab specialising in Vocational Rehabilitation and Occupational Health in 2006, which then merged with Fit For Work and Occupational Health New Zealand in 2016.
Lenny is a member of the New Zealand Association of Occupational Therapists, Chamber of Commerce, New Zealand Pain Society and Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of New Zealand.
In his spare time Lenny enjoys fishing and diving.
Assistant Clinical Manager
Maria is our Christchurch Assistant Clinical Manager. Maria graduated from CIT, Wellington with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy in 1987. Since this time she has worked in a wide range of areas including Mental Health, Community Occupational Therapy, Orthopaedics, Stroke Rehabilitation, Gynae-oncology and Maternity.
She has been involved in a number of pilot health projects and initiating new services in the community both in Scotland and New Zealand. Maria has also worked in Research and assisted on a variety of health based studies through the University of Auckland. Maria has worked in Vocational Rehabilitation since 2007.
In her “spare time” Maria enjoys running around after her three children and their surfing and other sporting obsessions.

Tracy Mannering, Human Resources Manager has been with Fit For Work since 2010.
She has worked in the field of vocational rehabilitation for the past 12 years and has considerable experience delivering career services to ACC, MSD, third party assurers, individuals and private industry.
She has a wealth of experience in interviewing and assessment techniques as well as skills in evaluating clients’ needs both in commercial and clinical environments.
Initially employed as a Vocational Consultant, she progressed to the role of Vocational Manager where her portfolio included professional development and supervision of the vocational team, key contract management and customer relationship management.
As the current Human Resource Manager with Fit for Work, Tracy brings to the role ten years’ recruitment and human resource experience with a specialisation in talent management including workforce planning, recruitment, credentialing, selection, onboarding, performance management, employee development and employee engagement.
Tracy has a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology and Education and is a Professional Member of CDANZ and Member of HRINZ.

Marissa is Contracts Manager and Business Development Manager at Fit For Work. Marissa is responsible for ensuring that we are meeting and exceeding the service requirements of our contracts as well as procuring and establishing new contracts with companies and government organisations. She also has oversight of our contracting relationships with Providers. Marissa provides Contract Management support to our Clinical Manager and Portfolio Coordinators (VRS Provider Coordinator, Pain Management, Osseointegration, Occupational Health). Marissa currently also holds the role of Occupational Health Portfolio Coordinator. Marissa has been working at Fit For Work (previously WorkRehab) since 2011, initially as a subcontracting Senior Occupational Therapist before becoming Team Leader of the Invercargill Branch, then Assistant Clinical Manager before moving into her Contracts Managers Role in 2014.
Marissa graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Latrobe University in Victoria Australia. She has worked extensively in Australia in a range of occupational therapy roles including neurological rehabilitation, paediatrics, vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy management and working within the public hospital sector. Marissa relocated to New Zealand in 2008 and worked within the public hospital system in neurological and older persons rehabilitation as well as completing traumatic brain injury rehabilitation for ACC and leading the community OT team. Marissa has completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation through Otago University and is a trained WorkHab FCE assessor.
Dr Mike England

Mike has gained Occupational Medicine experience in the UK across a wide range of employments through his Army career, subsequent post in Military Rehabilitation, training secondment to the Health and Safety Executive, time with ExMed, and with the RFU and its Injured Players Foundation. While some may think of military Occupational Medicine as being quite narrow, the reality is very different with a very wide range of employment roles and trades such as; telecommunications, mechanical engineering, healthcare, catering, aviation, hyperbaric, managerial, finance, transport, logistics, and construction (the Royal Engineers alone have 18 different trades).
Mike retired from the Army in 2005 and was immediately recruited by the RFU to establish a more professional and structured medical service; the organisation is now considered to also have the best developed governance, research based risk management in sport in UK. On a wider front, Mike has played a role in supporting the development of sports medicine as a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Sports & Exercise Medicine, being the Faculty of Occupational Medicine Council representative, and as a University Director of Studies.
As a Medical Educator, Mike has held a University Director of Studies post delivering postgraduate medical education, and been an approved Deanery specialty training supervisor. He also has extensive experience presenting at national and international conferences, which is complemented by his significant track record in research and publications.

John was brought on board as an independent director from inception and is currently serving as chair of the Board of Directors of the Company.
He is also the founder of nationwide law firm Online Lawyers and previously, was General Manager and Managing Partner of a Christchurch based law firm. His personal area of expertise is Commercial, Employment and Health and Safety Law, with an emphasis on Health.
Having previously managed a traditional law firm both strategically and operationally, John offers the Board a unique governance and corporate perspective. John also shares David and Lenny’s vision, values and passion for good workplaces.

Wayne Findlay is a member of Fit For Work’s board and founder and Director of Findlay & Co. He graduated from Otago University in 1993, working both for the IRD and in an accounting practice before starting his own practice in 2002.
Wayne is a Chartered Accountant and Business Advisor to clients in Wanaka, Queenstown, Central Otago, Christchurch and overseas. He is a forward-thinker with a big vision and enthusiasm for innovation. With a passion for information technology ,Wayne likes to explore new software and technology and drives the adoption of technology for the firm and for our clients. He has a special interest in cloud computing, and has a comprehensive understanding of the smart tools available to assist clients in driving their business growth and efficiency. Wayne’s ability to think outside of the square means that he is able to advise beyond just tax and accounting compliance. He can give you guidance on buying and selling businesses, reaching goals, restructuring businesses and strategic planning, and all in plain English.
A family man, Wayne imparts his love of the outdoors and sport on his two children and is often seen going to work on his bike – preferring Lycra to a suit!

Kelly is Contracts Manager at Fit for Work. She is responsible for ensuring that we are meeting and exceeding the service requirements of our contracts, maintaining our contracting relationships, and providing support to our Clinical Manager and Portfolio Coordinators. She is passionate about best practice rehabilitation, wellbeing and health promotion.
Kelly joined Fit for Work in 2018 after 8 years working for ACC in the Rehabilitation Team as a Rehabilitation Advisor and Rehabilitation Practice Manager. Kelly graduated from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has since gained a Post-graduate diploma in Sports Medicine and a Post-graduate certificate in Rehabilitation. Kelly worked a physiotherapist at Otago DHB then specialised in sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy including working with Athletics New Zealand and Canterbury basketball teams. She has also worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation physiotherapist.
Jasmine joined our team in 2014 as our Marketing Specialist. Jasmine has a marketing degree from Lincoln University and has over 15 years’ experience working for a wide range of companies and advertising agencies in New Zealand and abroad. In her spare time, Jasmine enjoys yoga and spending time with her two busy boys.
