Hi everyone and welcome to the first Fit For Work (FFW) STEPtember blog. I’m your host Rhondda and I’ll will be updating you throughout the month on the trials and tribulations of STEPtember.
Over the next month, I’ll be showing off our wonderful FFW teams and how we have been competing (competing? This isn’t a competition is it?) in STEPtember this year. We have 14 amazing teams participating throughout the country, which means more than half of our staff are involved. They will be walking through snow backwards in bare feet (if need be) to get their steps done. I will be giving you in-depth insight into some of our team members and their tricks and tips for getting those 10,000 steps done each day.
If you haven’t heard of STEPtember, it’s all about raising money for cerebal palsy. STEPtember challenges people to take 10,000 steps a day for 28 days straight. You can find out more about this wonderful event, how to donate and where your donations go, here: https://event.steptember.org.nz. If you’ve signed up to a team already, fabulous! We hope you and your company can keep up with Fit For Work’s steps! If you’re not in a team, sponsor us at FFW or simply donate to the cause.
We’ll be providing regular updates on our progress, so follow us on Facebook, facebook.com/FitForWorkNZ. We’re not all about stepping though. If you want to find out how you can join us as a physiotherapist, occupational therapist or vocational consultant, give us a call on (03) 366 3451.
Well that’s it from me for Day 1, get stepping and I’ll see you soon for another update on FFW’s STEPtember.
